U.S. History Pre-Ap
Pre-AP students will also be asked to analyze and evaluate primary documents and be able to write about the meaning, significance, and impact of these documents both as class work and as a routine part of tests and exams. The ultimate goal of this course is to have students prepared for the rigor of AP History classes and success on the AP U.S. History Examination in high school.
U.S. History
8th grade social studies is the study of American History from its European origins, beginning with the English settlement of Jamestown in 1607, and continuing through the end of the post-Civil War Reconstruction in 1877. The ultimate goal of this course is to have students prepared for the rigor of high school US History classes, and perform their very best on the SS STAAR Test.
